DupeBlocker 1 was first released on the AppExchange in October 2008 and has been well received and proven itself to be battle ready for even the largest Salesforce customers in the world.
DupeBlocker 2 features all the real time deduplication capabilities of DupeBlocker and also adds the following great features:
- Deduplication Scenarios can now be developed to effect just a sub set of Leads, Accounts or Contacts. Therefore it is now possible to target specific countries or business units with specialized DupeBlocker scenarios for their unique requirements.
- ALL Custom Fields on the Account, Contact and lead objects in Salesforce can now be used in the development of Deduplication scenarios.
- The new AutoMerge and AutoConvert features allow scenarios to automatically merge new incoming records with existing records that match and the merge is based upon customizable mappings.
- DupeBlocker is now the ULTIMATE answer to Web to Lead duplicates. Leave all your data in Salesforce = No Privacy Concerns

Please note that this is a released package that is upgradeable from previous DupeBlocker for Record Type versions. Existing customers or trial users of the non Record Type version of DupeBlocker 1 will have to uninstall and reinstall.
There is also no password on this package.
- Go to Setup->Create->Objects and click on DupeBlocker Scenario Filter
- Scroll down to the Standard Buttons and Links section
- Override “Edit” and “New” and change the Content Type to VisualForce Page and set the page to DB Scenario Filter Edit Create
- Override “View” and change the Content Type to VisualForce Page and set the page to DB Scenario Filter View
- Go to Setup->Create->Objects and click on DupeBlocker Scenario Rule
- Scroll down to the Standard Buttons and Links section
- Override “Edit” and “New” and change the Content Type to VisualForce Page and set the page to DB Scenario Rule Edit Create
- Override “View” and change the Content Type to VisualForce Page and set the page to DB Scenario Rule View
